Canadian shoppers to see spike in tariff-hit grocery products, Loblaw says

The number of tariff-hit products at the grocery store could soon spike as pre-tariff inventory runs out, said Loblaw Cos. Ltd. chief executive Per Bank, which means prices for some items will go up too. What are other retailers and analysts saying?

"Over the next few weeks, customers can expect to see the T symbol on more pantry items, like specific brands of rice or pasta, and on health and beauty products, like shampoo and soaps..." Bank said.

As U.S. tariffs on Canadian aluminum and steel is increasing the price of canned goods, experts say to take advantage of the upcoming fresh season across the country.
