In this episode of the Disney Fantasy cruise series, we explore Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. After struggling to find available chairs, we run out of sunscreen but manage to find some in a gift shop, along with a few unnecessary souvenirs. Jason, Mackenzie, and Alex then take to the Snorkeling Lagoon to explore the crystal-clear waters, discovering numerous underwater features such as statues, fish, a small submarine, a large anchor, and even a fishing boat. Stephanie opts to relax on the beach and read a book. After working up an appetite, we to Cookie’s Too BBQ, one of the dining options on Castaway Cay. We then spend a few hours soaking up the sun before returning to the ship to pack our bags since we'll be debarking the next day. After showers and hiding a few cruising ducks, we head up to the pool deck to grab some dole whip, chicken sandwiches, and pizza. After watching Disney's Believe in the theater, we makes our way to the Enchanted Garden for their final dinner aboard the Disney Fantasy. We try the enchanted garden platter featuring a selection of charcuterie and a whole grain baguette with peach marmalade, as well as chicken noodle and wild forest mushroom soups. For entrees, we indulge in a delicious New York strip steak and oven-roasted tom turkey breast. Alex, however, didn't enjoy his Brinjal Bhaji with jasmine rice, green herb chutney, raita, and poppadum. Finally, for dessert, the we indulges in a selection of sweet treats including white chocolate bread pudding, creme brûlée cheesecake, forest berry sundae, tiramisu, and a Mickey Bar. Exhausted from our busy day, we retire to our stateroom, having had a wonderful adventure exploring Castaway Cay and enjoying the amenities of the Disney Fantasy cruise ship.
