Disney Fantasy, Day 5 Castaway Cay! Join us for a day at beautiful Castaway Cay and our final night onboard the Fantasy!

One of the highlights of Disney cruising is spending a day at Castaway Cay. This beautiful island paradise offers a wide variety of activities as well as plenty of space for some rest and relaxation. We booked the Extreme Getaway package for the day. This package can be reserved ahead of the sailing and includes the stingray adventure, snorkel equipment, an hour bike rental and all day float rental.

We began our day with a bike ride around the island. A trip to the lookout tower is always fun and we love taking in the sweeping views from up on high. The stingray adventure includes a quick feeding opportunity and we were able to get up close with a few rays. We were then able to spend the rest of the hour exploring the lagoon where we swam with the rays. Keagan especially enjoyed this part of our day and literally swam and explored the entire lagoon. In between our snorkel experiences we enjoyed some float time. Unfortunately we did have some rain but the liquid sunshine didn't dampen our day. This was our first time in the snorkel lagoon and we can't wait to go again! We spent time exploring the hidden relics including some statues and even a submarine! We saw plenty of fish along the way. This was a long swim so we recommend being prepared and allowing plenty of time.

Lunch at Cookies Too is on our Castaway must do. There are a number of menu items available including burgers, hot dogs, ribs, fresh fruit, potato and macaroni salad and a variety of desserts. There are also soft serve and drink stations nearby. We enjoyed our meal and then made our way back to the ship for our final evening.

Sweet on You is a sweet shop on the Fantasy where guests can find an array of gelato and ice cream as well as some baked goods and prepackaged items. We had a pre-dinner treat and share our thoughts about our Castaway day.

Dinner for this evening was at Royal Court. The restaurant theming is elegant and features Disney princesses. We began the meal with bread service and soon after our appetizers were delivered. The deep fried brie is among our favorite of the appetizers served on the cruise line. For our main courses we tried a mixture of some old and new items. Brielle and Cheree had the mushroom ravioli which was flavorful. Keagan had pizza from the kid's menu which was served cold. Tim had the roasted filet steak with smashed potato and while the dish was tasty, the portion was small. Dessert was a treat and we enjoyed the offerings. Tim and Brielle had the apple tart which was delicious. One of Cheree's favorite desserts is the Grand Marnier Soufflé which never disappoints. Keagan had a Mickey bar one last time. Overall our meal was good. Food temperature was lacking and service was a little slow which we have noted on previous sailings for the final evening. We also had second dinner service so we know this impacts wait times and sometimes food quality. Our servers worked very hard and we know the entire dining team does too!

The kids enjoyed the night in the youth spaces and we headed back to the room to pack up. We had a very full day and were so sad for the cruise to end. Be sure to stay tuned for our final upcoming Fantasy vlog as we share some onboard shopping, and debarkation morning!

We certainly hope you enjoyed the vlog as we enjoyed sharing our day with you! Onward to our next adventure!
