The new series follows the story of the chaotic cycle of events that transpire on a day to day basis during opening hours of an independent sports shop called 'Laced Up'. The show offers an interesting perspective through the lens of Kingsley, the owner/manager of the South London based shop and his team of young and energetic staff, who also have their own trials and tribulations. The store's unique selling point is the fact that they are totally in touch with the community with a loyal following on and off line in which they specialise in selling exclusive trainers and tracksuits.
First day back on the job see's Kingsley relaunch the store after months of lock down due to COVID. He quickly settles in after a meeting with staff, Tyrelle, Haneif, Smokes, Jess, Minchie and Nigerian security guard Olu. During this time he gives a quick rundown about the type of performance he expects from his staff. Staff members don’t exactly come without their own problems and slowly but surely those problems begin to unfold...
This episode ends on an interesting cliffhanger, as Kyrah Grey's character's teased secret is revealed to the character she seems to have some history with.
