Disney Fantasy, Day 3 Cozumel! Join us for another fun-filled cruise adventure vlog as we share our day in Cozumel and the always exciting Pirate Night on board the Disney Fantasy!
We began our morning out on deck with some amazing views of Cozumel. Goofy Golf is a mini golf course located on deck 13. We each took turns on the course and some of us scored a hole in one! The Sports Simulator is also on deck 13 and a wonderful Cast Member let us share some inside views. The Sports Deck is also home to some game tables and a basketball court.
Official pin trading has not yet returned to Disney Cruising but several cabins on our sailing participated in unofficial pin trading. The kids share some of their trades. We also found our first cruising duck. This is such a fun cruise highlight!
We headed out on our excursion to Playa Mia in Cozumel for some beach and pool time. We've visited this resort on a few occasions. This is an all inclusive retreat with food and beverages included. Disney guests have a reserved section along the beach but are free to roam. We spent most of our time at the pool which was the perfect temperature given the heat of the day. There is a splash area for younger kids as well as a few water slides. Lunch is served all day with a buffet selection including fruit, salad, ribs, pizza, and vegetable lasagna. The beverage selection included both alcoholic and non alcoholic choices. We loved the strawberry smoothies and non alcoholic pina coladas!
There is a small shopping area with souvenirs available on the way out of Playa Mia. One of our favorite stops though is the Mayan Cacao Company. In the past we have done a tour here (included in our Disney Wonder Cozumel vlog from 2020) and we sampled so many of the amazing chocolates. We had just enough time to pick up some of goodies before making our way back to the ship.
Back on the Fantasy, preparations for Pirate Night were well underway. We changed into our gear and headed to the atrium for character photo ops. After some time with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee we made our way to deck 12 for Mickey's Pirates in the Caribbean deck party, a family favorite. The characters sing and dance and there's even a Captain's challenge! We recommend heading up on deck for the show!
Fireworks at sea are a highlight of Disney cruising. The incredible display in the night sky above the sea is such a great way to end the evening. For the first time in all of our sailings the fireworks were projected off the port side. Disney is always keeping us on our toes!
