🌴 Disney Fantasy Cruise Adventure: Lighthouse Point & Castaway Cay 🌊
Join us on our 4-night Disney Fantasy cruise to two incredible destinations: Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and Castaway Cay! This voyage was packed with magical moments, from unforgettable character interactions to the thrills of the AquaDuck water coaster, but Mother Nature had her own plans. 🌧️
For the second Disney cruise in a row, we weren’t able to dock at Castaway Cay due to the weather. While we missed out on the island’s paradise-like charm, we made the most of the ship's amazing offerings and Lighthouse Point, Disney’s newest private destination.
Staying at the Orlando International Airport Hyatt the night before the Disney cruise was a fantastic way to start our vacation stress-free. The hotel’s location right inside the airport terminal means no hassle with transportation after arriving, allowing you to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and ideal for resting before an exciting trip.
Using Disney Cruise Line transportation from the hotel to the port was a seamless experience. The convenience of luggage pickup directly from the hotel and a designated check-in process made the morning effortless. Boarding the bus early ensured we were among the first groups to arrive at the port, speeding up the embarkation process. Being on the ship early allowed us to explore, enjoy lunch, and get acquainted with our surroundings before the crowds arrived. This combination of a relaxing hotel stay and Disney’s streamlined transportation was the perfect way to kick off our cruise.
✨ Onboard Highlights:
AquaDuck Water Coaster: A thrilling water slide with breathtaking views of the ocean. Broadway-Quality Stage Shows: From classic Disney tales to new favorites, the live entertainment blew us away! Character Meet-and-Greets: Mickey, Minnie, and all their friends made appearances to create magical memories. Delicious Dining Experiences: From themed restaurants to the buffet, every meal was a treat. 🌟 Lighthouse Point: Disney’s newest island port stole the show! Its vibrant design reflects the spirit of Bahamian culture, with colorful architecture and artwork. We loved relaxing on the pristine beaches, exploring the lush trails, and soaking in the family-friendly atmosphere. The kid’s splash area and stunning ocean views were unforgettable!
🌴 Castaway Cay: Though we couldn’t dock, we want to shout out Castaway Cay’s gorgeous white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and fun activities we’ve enjoyed in the past. Here’s hoping the third time’s the charm when we sail on the Disney Treasure in 2025! 🤞
Even with a little rain and A LOT of wind, the Disney Fantasy proved to be the perfect getaway for family fun, relaxation, and a touch of Disney magic. Would we do it again? Absolutely!
